We hope this note finds you happy and well! As many of you know from last year, in lieu of the large gift baskets we’ve done in the past we chose to pay it forward in, what we feel, was a more meaningful way by remodeling the bathroom of a veteran at no cost.
This year we selected a single mom…a veteran of life, so to speak!
Meet Jami and Owen!
When we say Jami is a veteran of life…we truly mean it. Jami has been saddled with a bit more than many of us have. She has had some serious health trials one of which required brain surgery 11 years ago. About a year after her brain surgery she became pregnant with Owen…Owen is the only child she was able to carry to term out of 6 pregnancies, so he is a pretty special young man to his mom! Through all her trials, Jami has persevered and has never given up. She continues to put her head down and just work! Props to her!!!
Jami is in her late 40’s and recently purchased a house for she and her son. This is the first house she’s purchased all on her own! Being a single mom, she looked for a house she could reasonably afford and as we all know in our booming real estate market, affordable typically means ‘needs work’. Well, Jami’s new house was no exception to that rule…it needed some work. Some of the work needed, happened to be two bathroom updates…perfect for Nate’s Plumbing to help with!!!
